Slate Valley Epic

The Slate Valley Epic is a 40+ mile, over 5,000 feet vertical mountain bike race on Vermont’s newest and best single and double-track trails in the Slate Valley of southwestern Vermont in Poultney, VT. The Epic happens in mid-July each year. Visit Slate Valley Trails for more info.


Slate Valley Scramble

The Slate Valley Scramble is a trail running race that features an 8K, half marathon, and kid’s fun run. The race takes place on some of Vermont’s newest and best single and double-track trails on Slate Valley Trails’ network in Poultney, Vermont. The Scramble happens in mid-August each year. Meeting of the Grinds

Slate Valley Trails, in partnership with Moun​​​​​​​t​​​​​​​a​​​​​​​i​​​​​​​n​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​B​​​​​​​i​​​​​​​k​​​​​​​e​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​V​​​​​​​e​​​​​​​r​​​​​​​m​​​​​​​o​​​​​​​n​​​​​​​t​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​(MTBVT), hosts the annual Meeting of the Grinds, an all-day cycling festival. Bringing together cyclists of all genres, the event raises money to support the stewardship efforts of Slate Valley Trails and is based out of the Fairgrounds Trailhead in East Poultney, where riders can access more than 45 miles of purpose-built singletrack and an extensive network of quiet gravel and class four roads. The Meeting of the Grinds happens in mid-September each year. Visit Slate Valley Trails for more info.
