The Poultney Independence Day celebration is always a blast!
🎆JULY 4TH Parade Theme announced
The celebration is on for July 4th in Poultney! This year’s theme is “Enjoying Outdoor Adventures”.
Poultney offers so much in the way of outdoor adventures, whether you enjoy water sports, hiking, biking, bird watching, or hunting. Celebrate your favorite outdoor adventure and show it off with your float! If you want to participate but you’re not sure what kind of float or entry to create, email development@poultneyvt.gov and they’ll connect you with a float builder extraordinaire.
It’s your chance to celebrate Independence Day and life in Poultney, and you might even win a prize! Organizations, businesses, informal groups, families, and even individuals can register. (It’s fun, and great publicity).
Judging of entries will take place in East Poultney as the parade lines up. The Poultney Area Chamber of Commerce provides the judges for the five categories, and winners will carry signs sponsored by Mars Insurance Agency. Categories include: Best Depiction of the Organization, Most Photographic, Most Patriotic, Best Depiction of the Theme, and Business That Best Depicts the Theme. The Chamber will award cash prizes of $100.00 to each winner.
Forms will be available at the Poultney Town Office, Poultney Public Library, and online at poultneyrecreation.com by May 15, 2025. Organizations, businesses, families, and individuals are encouraged to join in!
The parade committee has been working very hard to make the day a success, and we want you to join in the fun. So put your thinking cap on, scour the internet for ideas, or email the committee. We want to see YOU at Poultney’s big 4th of July parade, Friday, July 4th, 2025!
